Bank of Australasia scored 268, F. D. Kilby contributing- 93, G. (Rutherford 82, Nelson 27, and Hunt 22;. X; It. Herbert (four wickets for 2 runs) was the most successful bowler for the Union, which could make only''77 in reply (J. D. Collins. 22). Batting again, the Bank of Australasia' declared with" six wickets down for 53 (Herbert three for 23, Sandford three for 10), and' at stumps the Union had lost five wickets for 76 (P. C. Rose 19, L. B. Sandford 25 not out).
At this week's meeting of the Wellington Women's Cricket Association ways and means of raising funds to meet the expenses of the Wellington members of the New Zealand women's cricket team,, which.-is to play three matches in Australia early in 1938, were discussed. 'The need-for organising and securing" .the ' "full co-operation of' all clubs was stressed,'ana it was agreed .to make an immediate, commencement in this' direction. ■ '■ :■ ' •
It was announced that the Auckland team to play Wellington for the Halli-burton-Johnston New Zealand Shield on December 25 and 27 would arrive at Wellington on December 23. The New Zealand:; selectors would be present. '.'.-■ :- ■ ■
