The Petone Fire Brigade was called; out at 1.30 p.m. today to an incipient fire in the Salvation Army Hall, Sydney Street' The brigade arrived in time to prevent. the. fire, which had started in a mattress under a bench, from spreading to the building. Practically no damage was done.
