FIREMEN ON THE FILMS

Two fire engines from the central station paraded the streets of Wellington with sirens screaming this morning, but they were not out to attend a blaze. They were making part of a newsreel which features the city's fire-fighting appliances. Films were also taken yesterday at the opening of the new station, when all the machines were in action and a display was given on Clyde Quay.
