"FIVE O'CLOCK PARTY"

A party for Miss Juliet Nathan, whose wedding to Mr. Murray Benjamin will take place next week, was given yesterday evening by two of her aunts, Mrs. R. Moataa Doughty and Mrs. W. L K. Jennings, and her cousin, Lady Patricia Stanhope. It was a "five o'clock" party, and took pace at Mrs. Jennings's home, 28 Friend Street, Karori. The receptionroom was decorated with "mixed bowls" of lovely summer flowers —delphiniums, stocks, etc. Miss Nathan was wearing a brown floral silk crepe frock and a swathed crownless turban of jade green. Major Jennings was present, and the guests included Mr. George Nathan, Mr. and Mrs. A. K. S. Mackenzie, Mr. and Mrs. T. W. Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Morton Paterson, Mrs. Ralph Sketch I (Auckland), Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Hunt, Mrs. Louis Cohen, Mrs. Warwick Gregory, the Misses Gladys and Alys Nathan, Miss Frances Parker, Captain Stuart-French, Miss Joyce Nathan, Miss Margot Peacock, Mr. Michael Nathan, Mr. and Mrs. Eric Nathan, Mr. D. Daysh, Miss June Brodie, Mr. B. Watson, Miss Margot Salmond, Mr. Neil Blundell, and Messrs. Geoffrey and Russell Longuet.
