LOWER HUTT TENDERS
Tenders for the erection of 56 houses in various centres have been approved by Cabinet, vvhiqh has also sanctioned the purchase of sufficient sites fpr 85 more homes, according to advice received from the Hon." W, Nash.
Mr, Lee said that contracts for the •building of nine houses at Lower Hutt had been Jet to D, Murray (five) and Lonsdale and Baggott (four), and tjriat Cabinet had approved of the acquisition of a further area of land in the Pitt Settlement, Lower Hutt, sufficient to provide for the erection of 27 houses. Contracts for this group will be advertised as soon as the necessary formalities are completed, ■_
