NEVIS DIESEL TO WIND UP

DUNEDIN, November 18,
At an extraordinary general meeting of the Nevis Diesel Electric Dredging Co., Ltd., tonight, the following resolution was carried:—"That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up, and that accordingly the company be wound up voluntarily." The'motion was put to a small attendance by the chairman (Mr. J. L. Mclndoe) and seconded by Mr. G. Thompson, director, being carried without discussion. The secretary (Mr. F. R. Thompson) was appointed liquidator, and the directors, Messrs. J. L. Mclndoe, G. Thompson, and-J, Scott, were appointed a committee of inspection. • REXMANN MINES. The manager, Rexmann Mines, reports for week ending November 12:— Start made to deliver ore from No. 1 block, No. 1 reef, to mill, and crushing proceeding with machinery running at half speed. A good deal of the initial gold is being absorbed into the mill, and •when this process eases up the mill will be run at full capacity. Prospecting tunnel advanced to 19ft along middle branch reef. Face is somewhat disturbed. Start made to open out on east branch reef and samples taken for assay. Values east end 6dwt, west end 3dwt. Value of ore tip of box sample before treatment was: Gold lOdwt, silver 3idwt.
