ARSON CHARGE
FIRE BRIGADE CHIEF.
SAN JUAN (Porto Rico), Nov. 15.
Andreo Montanez, chief of the fire brigade at Humacao, has been charged with setting fire to houses in order to provide work for the brigade, which is paid in accordance with the number of alarms answered.
A series of fires after a long period without them aroused the suspicions of the police. They allege that they caught Montanez's accomplice, who confessed.
