LOSERS PRAISED

"ENTERTAINING METHODS"

(Received November 17, 11.5 a.m.)

SYDNEY, This Day.

C. G. Macartney, commenting in the "Sydney Morning Herald," says:-*-

"Although Victoria defeated New Zealand by a harfdsome margin it had some anxious moments before that result was effected. The New Zealand bowling was not sufficiently formidable to drive home the advantage gained in the first innings, and the fielding was hardly up to that displayed earlier in the match.

"The general cricket of the New Zealanders was of a refreshing character, and it seems to matter little to them whether they win or lose as long as entertaining methods are employed."
