ESPERANTO CLUB
The weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club Was held last Monday evening in the clubroom, Miss Rabe's Studio, Latnbton. Quay. . Mr Bertram Potts, who presided, announced that in the course of the, week the club had sent official; greetings ,to Esperanto clubs -. in Britain, Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, arid Denmark. ..Correspondence was received from Esperanto clubs and individual Esperatltists in Wales, Spain, the Azores, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Lithuania, Greece, Austria, Latvia, Switzerland, Palestine, F. t. China, arid Brazil. v
gypi. > After the enrolment of new members classes were formed and satisfactoryprogress reported in the learning ;of the language. r : "<■'."■ - -:• ! t The programme period opened .with a talk by Mr. Gordon Blong on the eighth New Zealand Esperanto Congress to take place in Christchurch on the first three days of the New Year. Interesting sessions had been arranged, which embraced : serious discussions, excursion, and; concert. Mr. Otto Ebert gave saxophone solos, capably- rendering "Birds' Sonf at Twilight" and "II Bacio." -The president presented an original monologue entitled, "Li Lingvo de la Bovino." The concluding item was an Esperanto' sketch entitled "Kiam Koincido Sekvas . Koincidon". ("When Coincidence Follows Coincidence"), played by Messrs. Gordon Blong, Verrion J.
