FAREWELL WITH GIFTS
The staff of the Money Order and Savings Bank, C.P.0., Wellington, met on Friday last to say farewell'to Miss R. J. Mac Donald, senior machinist, who is retiring, ,after. having .been associated with the branch-for over 20. years.
Mr. G. B. Williamson (acting accountant) presided and reminded Miss' Mac of the pleasant times spent during her sojourn in.' Wellington. She had, he'said, always performed her duties -in-1 an excellent,manner, and now that she: was bidding' .farewell to them officially she took with her the best df good wishes.for long life and prpsperity.
In conveying-to her the good wishes Of the staff, Mr. -Williamson: asked- her to .accept a silver service as-a slight token of the,.esteem in which she had always been held. Mr.-G. V. Bunckenburg, chairman of the staff committee, wished Miss Mac Donald the happiest of times in her years of retirement.
Miss Mac Donald gratefully acknowledged the sentiments expressed and thanked everyone for their present. She was accorded musical honours.
