OVERSEAS CONTRACTS

The British Trade Commissioner in New Zealand is advised that the Department of Overseas Trade, London, notifies contracts secured by British firms during September, for overseas interests, as follows:—

Greece.—Fleet of 60 buses for Athens Electric' Transport Co. New Zealand.—Equipment, Post and Telegraphs Department, £50,000. Peru.—Self-propelled dredge for use on Lake Titicaca.

Poland. — Railway electrification,

South Africa.—Steel work for Cane Town Harbour, £170,000; electric locomotives for Natal, £300,000; South 5ft an£awoo ays and Harbours> equip"

Soudan.- : -25 railway carriages for Government Railways.
