(By Telegraph—Press Asfin.—Copyright.) (Received November 17, 9 a.m.) . LONDON, November 16. The London November series of wool sales has1 opened with merinos 15 to 20 and fine and medium crossbred 20 to 25 per cent, down on closing rates at the September series.

The quantity offered at the wool sales today, was 7121 bales, including 2753 bales New Zealand, and 4527 were sold. •■...-. • New Zealand slipe halfbred lambs, "Kaiapoi," made 17d top, 14Jd average. •- The 'easier 'tone in the ■ Australian ■wool sales and the disturbances in the Far East have had a "bearish" effect on the wool market. A good selection was offered, and it met with a keen demand, the Continent being the chief buyer. Compared with the close of the last series, prices generally were 11 to 25 per-cent, lower. ; .
