CAPE-TOWN,-November 16.
For 'the -first time in the history of aviation Cape Town has been brought within less than two days from Lpndori by Flying-Officer' Clouston and Mrs. Betty Kirby-Green flying from Croydon •to ■ Cape Town in 45 hours 4 minutes: Over a distance of 7050 milea they'maintained'an'average speed of 158.6 ■ miles •an hour,' a truly marvel* loirs' performance when varying temperatures are taken into account. Th« aviators; however, were aided by per* feet' Weather.
A terrific, welcome awaited them at the ' Wirigfield . airport at Cape Town, where 20,000 people thronged round the machine arid caused the greatest, danger to it. . .
