GOLF
A largs number of-members and friends attended the Athletic Golf Club's closing day on Sunday, November 7. A Canadian foursome played in the morning was won by Miss I. Petty and W. E. Macdonald. A pitch-and-putt competition in the afternoon was won by G. McKinley, sen., and Mrs.. I. Barrett in the men's and ladies' sections respectively. The club captain (Mr. R. J. Trevor) welcomed the visitors and introduced fhe club president (Mr. R. McKeen, M.P.), who was accompanied by Mrs. and Miss McKeen. The president congratulated the members on their successful season, and hoped that next year the club would be even stronger. Mrs. McKeen presented the trophies to the .winners,, the Senior Championship Cup to G. McKinley, sen., and ' the I Junior Championship Cup to W. I Hollick. . :■' ■'■ ■ ; . ■
