O.G.A. ANNUAL REUNION

The annual reunion of St. Mary's College Old Girls' Association this year took a new fojrm, the main feature of the weekend celebrations being a ■ dinner on Saturday evening at the "Empire Hotel. The president, Miss Mary Butler (wearing a gown of ciel blue chiffon), received about 80 ex-pupils of the school in the lounge. In the diningroom the tables were charming with floral decorations in pastel tones, the official table attracting much attention with its flowers reflected in a sheet of mirror glass, a garland of pink roses completing the decor. The college colours; black and-white, were also ..evident on the tables. The president opened the toast list by proposing the toast of "The King." "The-School" was proposed by Miss Kitty Bourke, and responded to by Miss Veronica Flanagan. Miss Anne Saunders : proposed the "Old Girls' Association," Miss Maisie Reeves replying. "Absent School Friends" was proposed by Mrs.' W. J. Pratley, and

Miss Edna Emerson proposed "The President," Miss Butler making a brief reply. An adjournment was made to the lounge, where a programme of musical items was presented, Mrs. T. Casserley rendering two delightful songs, Miss Josie Doyle giving much pleasure with a pianoforte- solo; and Miss Monica' Bell"causing much amusement with her humorous monologues. Miss J. Doyle was the accompanist. The reunion was opened with tennis on the college courts on Saturday afternoon, Mrs. J. Nixon and Miss D. Milner winning the trophies for the. Yankee tournament. After afternoon tea had been served, the Rev. Mother Claude presented the prizes. On Sunday morning the reunion Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Monsignor Connolly! arid was' followed by breakfast, a large number of old girls being present. Sunday afternoon was taken up with the annual general meeting,: after which the girls were the guests of the Sisters at afternoon tea, and a very successful reunion was brought to a close with Benediction in the Convent chapel.
