CLOSING FOR YEAR

The last meeting for the year of the Wellington W.C.T.U. was presided over by Mrs. H. J. Howe. The devotional period was led by Mrs. Murray.

It was decided that a. donation of £10 be given to . the Headquarters Fund. Two new members were received, one being on transfer from Nelson., The afternoon tea was served by Mrs. Porte and helpers.

Mrs. Peryman, the speaker for the afternoon, was welcomed.' She gave a very helpful address explaining the correct methods of electing officers and delegates for conventions. . Mrs. Peryman said that if members want to get things done they need great faith. More live members are needed to do the Master's work.- If people 'have Christ's love in them they must reflect Him,. for people's lives are *' being watched by others. - Co-operation makes for strength but all must have sympathy with weaker brothers and sisters. ' ■ • . ,

Mrs. Peryman was sincerely thanked for her address. It was announced that next meeting would be the annual election of officers.
