NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. Having heard members of the crew say they were going to Newcastle, a Scotsman, aged about 26, boarded the tramp steamer Tymeric at Hong Kong. He believed he was' on his ■ way to Britain, instead of which he was going to New Plymouth and subsequently to Newcastle, New South Wales. Soon after the arrival of the ship at New Plymouth , last night, the man 'was arrested, :'■ '■' '■ : • . •• -:
Two days after leaving Hong Kong the man reported himself to,the captain and was put to work:1 It is stated he behaved himself well 'during' the veyage to Ocean Island and on tha subsequent run to New Plymouth to discharge phosphates. l ,
