SOME CUP DRIVERS

Indianapolis, Evieus, and Worthy Light were the outstanding performers af Addington yesterday morning, says the 'Star-Sun." The weather was overcast, and the track, which had been heavily watered early in the morning, was Well harrowed and provided good footing. All the horses travelled on the centre of the course, and the extra ground they covered was, in most instances, equivalent to four and a half seconds to the mile. All the horses began from' a flying start. PERFECT EXHIBITION. Indianapolie strode over a mile and a half in 3min 21 3-ssec, which was equivalent to 3min 15sec. He got to the two-furlongs post in 36sec, the halfmile in lmin llsec, the six furlongs in lmih 44sec, the mile in 2min 17 3-ssec, the mile and a in 2min 53 3-5 sec, and finished well to register 3min 21 3-ssec. He gave a perfect exhibition. ■ Sage King dashed away from the mile and a half post to make the pace for Evicus, Worthy Light, and Harlequin. Evicus got to the. half-mile in lmin 7 3-ssec, the mile in 2min 13sec, the mile and a quarter in 2min 48sec, and came home easily in 3min 21 2-ssec. Her performance was impressive, and was equal to 3min 14 4-ssec. Worthy Light travelled five sulky widths from the inside rail and was separately timed to cover a mile in 2min 13sec, where he was pulled up. He looks very well, and did his work admirably. His effort was equal to 2min Bsec. He was driven by F. Holmes, who will drive him or Pot Luck in the Trotting Cup. . Sage King did a mile and a half in 3min 24sec. : Golden Eagle, Great Admiral, and Bittersweet trotted in that order for a mile and seven furlongs, where Great Admiral "and Bittersweet challenged Golden Eagle, and in a good finish Bittersweet won by a neck with Golden Eagle a similar distance in front of Great Admiral. The three horses are in excellent order. Golden Eagle's time was 4min 50 2-ssec. Bittersweet gave her three seconds start. The extra distance they covered was equivalent to nine seconds. Cloudy Range and Tempest gave a satisfactory display. They went without hopples and recorded 4min 51 2-5 sec for the two miles. They dashed over the last two furlongs in 30 2-5 sec. Big Author paced a mile and a quarter very easily in 2min 47sec, and Fifa and Reylena did the same journey in 2min 54 l-ssec. SOLID TROTTEIt. Little Reta gave a very solid exhibition of trotting while travelling two miles in 4min 44 4-ssec. Rongomai was not driven out to record 3min 37sec for a mile and a half. Repeal made the pace for Golden Cross in a bout over two miles. Golden Cross registered 4min 40 4-ssec after going the first mile in 2min 25sec. Treasiire'Bond acted as pacemaker to Three Bells in a serviceable effort over a mile and a half. Three Bells finished resolutely and beat his companion narrowly. The time was 3min 37sec.
