. The Hon. James Allen, M.L.C., the Hon. F. White, M.L.C., the Hon. Mark Fagan, M.L.C., and the Hon. M. Connelly, M.L.C., will leave Wellington for the south tonight. Sir Benjamin Fuller will travel south by the Rangatira tonight. Sir-Robert and Lady Anderson will leave Wellington for the south today. Mr. F. G. Hogg, Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, University of New Zealand, son of Mr. E. G. Hogg, Cashmere Hills, Christchurch, has been appointed assistant engineer to the State Electricity Commission of Victoria.
Mr. N. S. Falla, chairman and managing director of the Union Steam Ship Company of New' Zealand, Limited, who has been in-the United Kingdom during the last few months, left on Wednesday for New ; Zealand, via Canada and the United States, where he will.visit the company's organisations. Mr. Falla will arrive at Auckland in the Niagara on December 13.
Mr.' William Anderson, of Napier, has been appointed a member of the Hawke's Bay. .(Urban) Adjustment Commission. , '
Lieut. R. S. Cameron, of the Royal Naval -Volunteer Reserve, has been promoted to the rank of LieutCommander. ■
Mr..W. R. Brown has been appointed District Land Registrar at Nelson.- Mr. A. Fowler has been appointed to a similar position at Blenheim,
Mr. J. Wilson, who arrived in Wel-\ lington by the Tamaroa from London today, is head of the firm of Wilson and Corrigan, a large Dublin printing house, situated in* Sackville Street.
Mr., J. Douglas, of Dunedin, has been appointed engineer-manager of the Gas Department of the Masterton Borough Council in succession to Mr. J. Learmonth, who has received an appointment as manager of the Palmerston North Municipal Gas Works.
