NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a •*■' Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council held on Monday the Ibtn October, 1937. the following resolution was passed, viz.:—Whereas by Section 67 of The Local Legislation Act 1928 the Education. Board ot the District of Wellington was authorised to sell all that piece or parcel of land situate in the City of Wei liugton containing by admeasurement oue rood seven and four-tenths perches more or less being Section .1 Block IV Reserve X Te Aro Reclamation aud being the whole of the land in certificate of title Volume 57 folio 146 as the same is delineated on plan numbered A/259 deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington the said piece of land being described in subsection (8) of that section AND WHEREAS under Section 82 of The Local Legis lation Act 1936 the Wellington City Couucil was authorised to purchase the, satd land and to raise a special loan not exseeding Fifty-one thousand pounds (£51,000) by way ot Special Order at.d without taking the steps prescribed by Sections 9 to 13 of The Local Bodies Loans Act 1926 to meet the purchase money payable in respect of such purchase NOW THEREFORE the Wellington City. That the rate of interest payable in respect of the said special loan shall not exceed Three pounds ten shillings (£3 10s) per centum per annum . payable halfyearly during the currency of the said speciai loan, being a period of Ten (10) years from the Ist day of February. 1938. 3. That a sinking fund of Nine hundred and fifty-five pounds (£955) per annum be established in connection with the said special loan. 4. That the security for the interest, sinking fund and other charges and repayment of the said special loan be a special rate of Sixty-five sixteen hundredth* of a penny (65/1600 d) in the pound made and levied on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Wellington. 5. That no amount payable as either interest or sinking fund in respect, of the said special loan shall be paid out of loan money. 6 That the rate payable for brokerage, underwriting and procuration fees in respect of the raising of the said special loan or any part thereof shall not in the aggregate exceed one-half per centum of any amount raised. 7. That payment of interest and repayment of priu cipal jn respect of the said special loan shall be made in New Zealand. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the resolution will be submitted for confirmation at a Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council to be held on Thursday the 25th November 1937 at the Council Chamber.
