(Received November 3, 10.45 a.m.)]
LONDON, November 2.
The diplomatic correspondent ol the "Daily Herald" says that Herr Hitler will demand colonies on new grounds, supported by Italy and Japan as the "principal allied and associated Powers." The German plan is that two of the four Powers which jointly took over the German colonies shall express a wish that tha arrangement be revised and some of them, at any rate, returned to tho former owners.
The Rome correspondent of th« "Daily Mail" say. that the Foreign Secretary's, speech in the House of Commons created a painful impression. It is considered to be evidence of the British Foreign Office's complete lack of understanding of th» Italo-German viewpoint. It is pointed out that Germany does not ask for colonies in general, but for the return Lof those she possessed before the war, which are in British and French hands, and not those of Italy.
