PLEA FOR CO-OPERATION
FRANCE & GERMANY
GUARANTEE FOR PEACE IN
EUROPE
BERLIN, November 2.
M. Francois-Poncet, French Ambassador, made a strong plea for French and German co-operation when speaking at the graves of French, war prisoners of 1813 to 1870.
He said: "My wish is that France and Germany establish good neighbourly relations based on respect and friend*ip. The two countries are cornerstones of European civilisation, and their friendship would guarantee European peace."
