NAVY LEAGUE
The services of a paid canvasser to secure more members was considered inadvisable by the 'Vellington branch of the Navy League *t its meeting yesterday. It was hop>d to aecure members by other mean*. -\- 7 The Hawke's Bay branch wrote asking for assistance in. the revival , of their branch. It "»as decided that at the first meeting in the New Year suitable arrangements would be made. It was stated that the secretary would be leaving for Masterton on Sunday in connection with league business.- , .: /A ■ , The secretary reported on several trips he had made in the country, stating that he had been very well received at all the schools and colleges, where tlife children showed keen interest in naval affairs.'
