Plimmerton Party.
A very successful children's fancydress party followed by a dance for adults was held recently at the Theatre Royal, Plimmerton, in aid of the Plimmerton branch of the Plunket Society. The judges, Lady Pomare, Mrs. Barclay, and Mrs. R. Wall, had a difficult task judging the large number of fancy and original costumes worn by the children. Mrs. Chas. Gray . (president, coastal towns branch) presented the prizes. The committee expressed thanks to all those who sent along donations and supper. Pre-wedding Tea. An enjoyable yevening was spent recently when the Misses Dorothea Casey and Eileen Bacon gave a "bathroom tea" in honour of Miss Evelyn Wright, whose marriage takes place shortly. Miss Evelyn Wright will be remembered in many of the successful productions of the. Wellington Operatic and Theatrical Society. Among those present were:—Mrs. D. Brown, Mrs. M. J. Casey, Mrs., A. Haley, Mrs. Wright, Mrs. K. Ainslie; Misses. O. Dray, B. Sutter, M. Casey, W. Male, I. Power, M. Turner, J. Duff, A. Woodward, and M.' Cooke.
When bandaging a cut or'burn which requires a great deal of salve or ointment, place a single piece of cellophane in one of the., folds of the pad. No salve will ooze through to stain clothing or anything with which the bandage might come in contact. This is particularly useful with children. __,
