SANDUSKY IN FAVOUR

In winning the Borough Handicap at Hutt Park on Saturday, Sandusky gave an'indication that he is in firstclass order for his New Zealand Derby engagement; and there are many who are prepared to see him finish in front of the Canterbury cracks, Refund, Twos Loose, and Horsepower, says the "Press." On any form shown in public the four horses mentioned should monopolise the betting in the three-year-old classic, but the actual favouritism is not apparent at present. Refund certainly holds an unbeaten record in his two starts, but in each case the race was run on a grass track and there may be a reversal of form on the fast clay course at Addmgton. Sandusky has yet to. run a poor race, and in Auckland he is regarded as an exceptional) three-year-old.
