HUTT EFFORT FOR CHINESE
In order to- assist their, fellowcountrymen, the Chinese of the Hutt Valley, assisted by several other residents, are organising a dance of exceptional interest to take place at a later date. Extra decorations will be dispensed with, so that the expenses will be kept as low as possible, but this will be compensated by a savoury supper and a very fin* orchestra. HELP FROM KIIANDALLAH. An effort to swell the funds to be sent to China will take place next Saturday, when a gift afternoon and garden party will take place at "Glen Tui," Khandallah, the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. G. C. Ffltch. The party will be opened by. the Chines* Consul, Mr. Feng Wang, at, three o'ctock. Visitors are asked to "bring a gift, buy a gift," and a small charge will be made for admission, which will include afternoon te«.
