SITUATION IMPROVED
END OF CURFEW PALESTINE TROUBLE NEW ACTIVITIES IN SYRIA (Received October 20, 2.15 p.m.) JERUSALEM, October 19. The curfew order has been rescinded, indicating that the authorities regard the situation as greatly improved. A new Arab Higher Committee is reported to be forming in Syria, where the. presence of, the Grand Mufti i« perturbing the French authorities, who are expected to act vigorously if he engages in anti-British activities.
