OLD DARGAVILLE COURSE
The totalisator permits of the Dargaville Racing Club having been assumed by the Avondale Jockey Club, the Dargaville racecourse, comprising about 100 acres at Awakino Point, passes to the people of the town. The Minister of Internal Affairs may now appoint the Hobson County Council or a specially-constituted body to take control of the property. The buildings have been disposed of to the Dargaville Borough Council, Bowling Club, and Golf Club.
