MILITARY CHANGE

HEADQUARTERS VACATED

ALEXANDRIA, October 12.

After nearly half a century, the Union Jack has ceased to fly over the British military headquarters. The jßritish and Egyptian National Anthems were played as the Prime Minister, Nalias Pasha, pressed an electric button, which unfurled an Egyptian flag. The building will be handed over to the Egyptian authorities in accordance with the plan of capitulations on October 15, when the consular courts will be abolished.
