STREET DAY APPEAL

Mr. W. A. Parton, chairman of the Boys' Institute management committee, presided over a combined meeting of the Boys* Institute and Boy Scouts' Association to report progress of arrangements made for a street day to be held on Wednesday, October 20, on behalf of these associations. There was a large attendance of helper* preisent, and various detail* in connection with the organisation of the eff fully discussed. Full collaboration is being made to make the day a success.

Thousands of small badges have been pinned and are ready for distribution, the headquarters for Wednesday being at the Metropolitan Scout Headquarters, King's Chambers, Willeston Street Arrangements are being made for talks over the radio, and 200 collectors* badges have been arranged for free of charge. Posters are being prepared by the Boy Scouts for display before October 20, and placards are being printed for display on the day of the effort. Although a large number of ladies have offered their services for the day, an appeal is made for more lady helpers, and in this connection those available are asked to corrimunicate with either the Boys' Institute or the Boy Scouts' Association.
