REAL ESTATE INSTITUTE

The annual meeting of the Wellington branch of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (Inc.) was held last evening.

The annual report showed that there had been an increase of membership during the year, and that conditions generally were much improved from the real estate agent's point of view. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr. F. G. Williamson; committee, Messrs. J. G. Harcourt, A. A. Gellatly, R. P. McCracken (ex officio), R. A. Large, W. H. Barton, L. A. McAlister, V. E. J. Williamson, J. Stellin, W. R. Birnie (Palmerston North), and G. W. Sellar (Masterton). Mr. S. E. Lambert was re-elected auditor. Votes of thanks were passed to the retiring president. Mr. R. P. McCracken. and to Mr. W. H. Leighton. who retired from the committee and did not seek re-election.
