RANDWICK CLUS
The official opening of the Randwjclt Tennis Club was held on Saturday. The club secretary, Mr. K. Milne, who introduced the patron of the club, Mr. A. E. Werry, congratulated the Hand* wick school committee.on the improvements to the courts. .
Mr. Werry, in declaring the :season open, congratulated the club on its progress. In its life of four years the club had steadily improved, and'the new season promised to show further improvement.
.After performing the ceremony 08 hitting the first ball over the' net, Mr. Werry and about sixty members and visitors were entertained to afternoon tea by the ladies.
The following are the officers for th« season:—
Chairman, Mr. G. Beban; club cap* tain, Mr. J. Sparks; vice-captain, Mrs, K. Milne; secretary and treasurer, Mr. K. Milne; committee, Mrs. Sparks, Misses. D. Jones and J. Beban, Messrs. M. Smith and B. Wakely;. delegates to H.V.L.T.S.A., Messrs. G.-Beban and K* Milne; auditor, Mr. K. Sharp.
