(Special to the "Evening Post.") PALMERSTON N., This Day. When the question of local bod; amalgamation was being discussed, a yesterday's meeting of the Manawati County Council, Councillor A. N. Mor com drew attention to the fact tha the Hon. W. E. Parry had not ful filled a promise to meet local bodie: of the district. A conference of thi local bodies had been held in May last and the decisions reached forwarded t< the Minister, who had acknowledge* them. Included was a request that hi should visit the district and discus the question with councillors, bu nothing had transpired. A Bill was U come before the House on the sub ject, and the position was that the Manawatu group of local bodies was the only one which the Minister had not personally consulted. The counci decided to write to the Minister ask ing him when he proposed to visit tht district. ■
