TIMARU, This Day.

Lance Murdoch Foreman, a builder, who was found guilty of assaulting William John Alfred Clay, hotel licensee, was sentenced today by Mr. Justice Northcroft to fourteen days' imprisonment with hard labour. Clay's leg was fractured as a result of the incident, and he was unable to attend the Court.

Victor Norman Ashton, canvasser, who admitted failing to account to British Pavements, Ltd., for £141 17s 3d, was admitted to probation for two year*
