Brown and Co., has ceased to.be a member of the Exchange. Mr. Wolfe has not taken an active part in the business for about fifteen years. His partner, Mr. J. A. Sweetnan, was found dead in his office. Mr. Hugh S. Chambers was authorsed yesterday to investigate the affairs if the Ann. As far as the investigation has gone, it is estimated that, ;hert will be a deficiency of t-'tween | £30,000 and £35,000. j Mr. Sweetraan, aged 71. w as found lead in his office on October 6 with i gas jet turned On. He had recently suffered a nervous breakdown.
