VILLAGES SACKED
GUERRILLA WARFARE
ABYSSINIAN ATTACKS ON
ITALIANS
LONDON, October 10.
The British United Press correspondent at Rome, reporting on guerrilla warfare in Abyssinia, states that 33 officers, five district commissioners, 40 Black Shirts, and 240 askaris were killed throughout Abyssinia in a fortnight's warfare. Many villages were sacked and officers' homes burned.
A large Italian force is mopping up the district.

LONDON, October 10.
The Rome correspondent of the British United Press states that Marshal Graziani, Viceroy of Abyssinia, is reported to have told his troops to show no mercy against rebellious, Abyssinians, of whom over 5000 were killed during heavy bombings from the air.
