ENGLAND TO FAR EAST

BY AIR OVER CANADA

SERVICE ENVISAGED

LONDON, October 8.

An air i-oute from England to the Fair East, via the Atlantic, Canada, and the Pacific, is envisaged by Mr. S. J. Hungerford, chairman of Canadian National Railways and president of TransCanada Airlines.

He said that within a year a daily air service would be in operation across Canada. It was almost inevitable that Canada would be joined up with the Far East, probably via Alaska and Bering Strait. By this means 3000 miles would be saved over the American route across the Pacific.
