Dr. and Mrs. Duncan Stout, Mr. and Mrs. Warwick Gregory, Mr. and Mrs. Wiggins, Mr. and Mrs. Castles, and Mrs. Scott are among the Wellington: visitors to Christchurch for the Christ's College sports. Mrs. Halse, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. McNair Miller, Hastings. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Todd, of Tinalcori Road, have returned from a visit to the Chateau Tongariro. Lady Beaucbamp, Mesdames William Ewart, and L. Ashcroft-Edwards left this morning by car for Napier. After spending a short holiday there, Lady Beauchamp and Mrs. Ewart will proceed to Auckland, where they wi } ll probably remain until the end of this month or early in November. Miss Ethel Law, national general secretary of the Y.W.C.A. for New Zealand, arrived in Christchurch this morning to stay with her sister, Mrs. A. R. Thompson. Miss Helen Buchanan, Christchurch,- and Miss Jocelyn Hornabrook, Masterton, will be the guests of Mrs. Guy Williams, Heretaunga, for the golf tournament next week. Miss Elizabeth Loe, who has been visiting friends in Tauranga, has leturned to Wellington. Mrs. P. Wilder and Miss Prue Wilder, Hawke's Bay, are visiting Christchurch for the Christ's College sports. Mrs K. V. Kendrlck, Upper Hutt, left Auckland by the Akaroa yesterday for England. Miss Peace Kerr, Wellington, is the guest of her aunt, Mrs. Henry Wyatt, Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. N. Campbell. Kawhatu, Manawatu, have returned home from a visit to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs.. Peter Bonsfield, the English artist and his wife, who are touring New Zealand, are visiting Christchurch after spending several weeks motoring in Central Otago. They are staying at Warwick House. Mrs. Graham Dawson, Hatton Street, Karori, is visiting Oamaru. Mrs. F. W. Jollands is a Lower Hutt visitor to Auckland. Mrs. R. Caughley, Wellington, has returned home from a visit to her mother, Mrs. Alfred Evans, Christchurch. Mrs. Hyde, Palmer Street, is spending the weekend in Blenheim. Mrs. J. Barrle Martin, Wellington, is visiting her sisters, the Misses Hassell, "Carshalton," Timaru. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Jones, Wellington, are visiting Mrs. Woodhead, Christchurch.' Miss Althea Cookson. lady superintendent of the Wellington Public Hospital, is visiting her sister, Mrs. F. W. Freeman, Cashmere, Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Hill, Lower Hutt, are spending a holiday . at The Chateau. Mrs. J. W. Carr, Thompson Street, and Miss Tonks returned this morning from a visit to the South Island. Mrs. David Aiken, Wadestown, with her mother and sister, is visiting the Chateau. Passengers on board the' Rangitiki, which left London on September 16, were the Countess of Orford and Lady Anne Walpole, Mrs. Elsby, son and daughter, Mrs. Edgar Stead, Mrs. Sydney Jacobs/Mrs. M. D. Hamerton, Miss C. N. Hamerton, the Rev. C. C. Mor-timer-Jones. Mesdames J. Thompson (Hamilton), J. Fenton (Melbourne), A. C. Fell (Blenheim). C. J. Williams (Hawkes Bay), W. McCulloch and Miss M. Mcculloch (Napier) are guests at the Royal Oak Hotel. Mesdames R. G. Ashworth (Masteiion), Donald Cameron (Hinakura), L. Abell (Warwickshire, England), Ensor • Canterbury) are staying at the Midland Hotel. Princess Te Puea Kerangi (Ngarua■wahia), Mesdames F. E. Abbott (Canada); C. M. Morden (Vancouver), G. C. MacDougall (Canada), C. W. Soul (Nelson), M. Walker (Christchurch) are among the guests staying at the Hotel St. George.
