£80,000 DONATION

REBUILDING OF ST. GEORGE'S

HOSPITAL, LONDON

RUGBY, September 23.

A donation of £80,000 has been made towards the rebuilding of St. George's Hospital at Hyde Park Corner, London, by Mr. Harry Oakes, president of the Lake Shore gold mine in Ontario, the second richest gold mine ' in the world.

The Marquess of Willingdon, chairman of the rebuilding council of the hospital, has issued a statement announcing that the gift will enable the rebuilding operations to begin next year. The new building will contain 520 beds instead of the present 330, including a block of 50 private beds for persons of limited means.
