A GRADE AVERAGES

THE PALMA CUP RESULTS

There was some very keen shooting in the A grade, and the average of the winners (Brooklyn) was of a very high standard, there being only one shoot bolow 470. Borne of tho teams showed a big improvement near the ttulsh, especially P.W.M.C.

In the flual shoot to decide the winners of the B grade, Hutt defeated Brooklyn by three points after a very closely contested match. Tho final scores were: Hutt 468, Brooklyn 46a. The ties in tho August competition of the South Club have been decided. The results are as follows:—B grade,. Ist trophy and 3 points for Goodwill trophy, Mrs. Teal; 2nd trophy and 2 points for Goodwill trophy, H. Culver; 1 point for Goodwill trophy, D. McGin--11 The shoot-off between H. Culver and H. Eoocock for tho S.M.K.C. certificate resulted in favour of Culver. The Congreve Jug for September was won on the first ghoot by t. Nyberg. The match with the Aotea Club for the Stewart Cup is expected to be fired on Tuesday. October 5: It Is hoped that all members who possibly can will be present that night.

"EVENING POST" CLUB.

A good muster of members of the "Evening Post" Club attended the range last evening. Some good shooting was witnessed. The highest scores among the ladies were Mrs. NicWess and Miss Vlollch 67, and among tho men A. MacDowall got 70, K. MacDowall and ti. Nickless 60, and G. Oldhani 68.

The third round of the "Billy Williams' Shield will commence next Monday. -

The holders of the N'ickless Buttons for the week are A. Urquhart and K. Mailman. ■•'
