NEW BRIGHTON MEETING

The principal event at the New Brighton Trotting Club's October Meeting is the Walter Thomson Handicap, of £450, 4min 30sec class, two miles. The main sprint is the Beach Handicap, of £50, 2min 44sec class, one mile and a quarter. The mile saddle event is a 2min 15sec class, and the Avon Handicap, which was previously run over a mile and a quarter, is now a twomile event with a 4min 38sec limit. The trotters' events are for 3min 43sec and 4min 44sec class horses. The usual large fields for these events are again probable.
