DANCE AT KILBIRNIE

Gay spring flowers and trailing greenery decorated the hall and supper tables of the Taia Hall, Kilbirnie, recently, when Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Topp gave a dance in honour of their son Edward. The decorations were carried out in green and gold which toned with a beautiful green and gold cake made by Mrs. F. W. Boyd. .

Mr. and Mrs. Topp, assisted by their son, received the guests, Mrs. Topp being dressed in black chiffon. velvet and gold lame. There were about 100 guests, and they danced to bright music supplied by an excellent orchestra. Two novelty dances by Miss Esme Chalk, and two songs by Mrs. Muriel Topp were much appreciated.

Hutcheson, R. Fredric, I. Williamson, C. Collins, V. Collins, F. Martin, Y. Whiteman; and Messrs. L. Ponder, G. Ponder. W. Boyd, K. Hutcheson. W. Hutcheson, R. Scott, S. Wilson, F. Ponder, G. Castle, F. Wade, W. Downs, D. Good, R. Kefin, B. Usher, D. Haswell, and R. Ward.

To look one step ahead of the fashion, wear close-fitting jackets-, tailored with high revers, in plain shades, over skirts that need not match.
