SYDNEY, September 16. la tiie final of the amateur golf championship of Australia, H. L. Wil-j liams, Victoria, beat T. Tanner, New South Wales, 1 up. A feature of the play was Tanner's plucky fight. He was 4 dpwn at the twenty-seventh and then /played brilliantly, but could not get ahead of his opponent. Williams at times played masterly golf. j
VISIT TO NEW ZEALAND
SYDNEY, September 16. H. M. Cutler will join Hattersley to participate in the New Zealand golf championships. It is possible others | may yet go.
