MEN'S BASKETBALL.

Considerable -interest has been displayed by many young men of this city in the development of the American game of men's basketball. It is.with the idea of furthering this interest that the Auckland Mormon team is undertaking a tour of the North Island competing against the various V.M.C.A. teams. The touring team will play the local V.M.C.A. team next Friday at 8 p.m.' As both teams have' yet an unbroken record in their respective centres some clever basketball should be witnessed. As a preliminary game the "70" Club team, winner of the local men's inter-house competition, will play the local Mormon team. As these teams are comprised of .i several of the leading players of the game in this' city, an exciting contest, should result. The game will 'be played in the Wellington V.M.C.A. gymnasium, and all interested are invited to attend. There will be a small charge for admission.
