INSTITUTE OF SECRETARIES

At a luncheon meeting of the Wellington chapter of the New Zealand Institute of Secretaries held recently, the guest of honour and speaker was the Hon. H. G. R. Mason, AttorneyGeneral. There was a record attendance of members, and prior to the chairman of the chapter, Mr. J. Annand-Smith, introducing Mr. Mason, he was congratulated by Mr. R. V. Jones on his appointment as president of the New Zealand Institute as reflecting credit on the Wellington chapter. He also stated that the new president was a foundation member of the institute, and had taken a very keen interest in both chapter and council affairs. After the address by the Hon. H. G. R. Mason a hearty vote of thanks was accorded him on the motion of Mr. E. H. Bell.
