FAREWELL PARTY

The nursing staff of the Grey town Hospital were hostesses at a bridge party held in honour of the Medical Superintendent and his wife, Dr. and Mrs. H. B. Berney, who are shortly leaving Grey town to take up.residence in Masterton,

A profusion of spring blossoms and japonica was used in decoration and over fifty guests, including the local medical fraternity and their wives, were present. Mr. J. F. Thompson expressed the regret of the nurses and the community generally at the loss of Dr, and Mrs. Berney from their midst and wished them all success and happiness in their new sphere. Dr. Berney suitably replied and the proceedings concluded with the singing of "Auld Lang Syne."

The prizes for the highest scores went to Miss Eagar and Mr. F. Bunny, Miss Eagar as a graceful gesture handed hers to Mrs. Berney.
