PARTY FOR DAUGHTER

The beautifully-decorated rooms of the Lyceum Club made an ideal setting for the party given recently by Mr. and Mrs. D. McLuskie in honour of their daughter, Marian, who wore a charming Mid-Victorian frock of cream net over silk taffeta with pink and blue flowers on the bodice to matcn those which she wore in her hair. iShe also carried a posy of stocks and hyacinths in shades of pink and blue. Mrs. McLuskie's frock was of rosepink satin, with which she wore a shoulder 'spray to tone. She was assisted jn receiving the guests by Mrs. P, South and the Misses Alphors. Modern and old-time dancing was thoroughly enjoyed, the excellent dance music being supplied by Mrs. I. Stephens and Mr. P. Jenkins. A'" Monte Carlo dance was won by. Miss McLuskie . and Mr. E. Quirke, a "tunnel" dance by Miss O. Thomson and .Mr. Denis McLuskie. Miss McLuskie gave several humorous recitations. Miss Ursula McLuskie entertained with solo dancing, and Mr. N. Denton with songs. A buffet supper was served in the dining-room, Mr. H. Lloyd proposing the toast of the guest of honour. Balloons and streamers were issued during the last dance, and the singing of "Auld Lang Syne" concluded the party.
