Weekly sailings have been arranged if ships, between London and Antwerp whereby, :in conjunction with canal barge services, cargoes will be carried to and from Midlands cities in England almost entirely by water, states a British Official Wireless message. The canal, journey from London to Birmingham takes about 50 hours, travelling day and night. It is expected that cargo from Antwerp would take about four days to reach ' Nottingham or Birmingham, including a day spent Jn transferring goods- at London from ship to lighters.
