WELLINGTON REPERTORY THEATRE.
'"Lucky Dip," by the ate Frank Vosper, is to be presented by the Wellington Repertory Theatre Society in the Town Hall Concert Chamber this evening and each night until Saturday next. The cast features Misses. Marguerite Thompson, Irene Spidy, Zita Chapman. Mrs. Sydney Tingey, and Messrs.. Selwyn Toogood. Stanley Vmsen James Crawford, F; H. Dawn, George Cooper, R Gilkison, E. C. Gorton, and Cedric Wright. Mrs. G. C. Boyes is responsible for the stage setting and properties Miss Pauline Shotlander the dressing, and the stage management is in the experienced hands of Mr. Harry Painter.: The play opens lnjie lounge of a ■•■ luxurious Mayfair flat, painted by Mr. G. W. Conroy. . A super-sophis-ticated couple, in the: absence of the girl's parents, arrange to throw.a cocktail ■ and dinner . party. The - cocktails are evaporating and the dinner spoilin" One of the invited guests is rung up" when it is learned that the .invita-tion--cards, have been wrongly dated. To save their face before the servants they decide to select at random from the'telephone book a number of people, quite unknown to them, whom they invite. A mixed crowd is assembled, including ah actress who has murdered her husband, and the fun waxes, fast and furioua.
