EVENTS AT KOSKIUSKO
SYDNEY, 'September 0. A gay party of New Zealand skiers and their friends-arrived today by the Wanganella en route to the Mount Koskiusko snow carnival, which begins in earnest on Wednesday. The men created,a diversion on the wharf by wearing Tyrof hats bedecked With orpington feathers. They will arrive at Charlotte Pass tomorrow. • The Press Association correspondent at Mount Koskiusko reports that the inter-State slalom was run today on good snow and in a blazing sun. The course was set on Trapyard Creek by the American, Durrance. New South Wales defeated Victoria in both tlie men's and women's slaloms on unofficial times. Victoria was handicapped by the absence of Mitchell, who was compelled to return to Melbourne for the Victorian elections. The New Zealander, Miss Diana Allen, had the best total times in the women's event, running non-competi-The race committee has decided to combine the Australian championship with the triangular international match starting on Friday in order to permit the New Zealand team to compete.
